It's coz it's been pulled out of the Gallery which is currently down, I'd expect normal service to resume soon  The End

I'll be back shortly Gareth, have to make some changes to the gallery to cut down on the bandwidth use  06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

All the 'large' images are now resized and restricted to 960 pixels high to save bandwidth  06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

What about the video clips on there, surely they must eat loads of bandwidth when viewed?

Not as much as you might think, they don't get viewed that much - obviously they contribute but not as much as the big photos. The forum pages are the worst culprits though! 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

Ahh I see, you mean some members might even be using gallery pics as avatar sources?, therefore hammering the bandwidth everytime anyone opens any of their posts? Scoundrels the lot of em

No, the actual forum pages (the text) make up the majority of the bandwidth, linking to gallery pics makes no difference as unless avatars are linked from another site then they're all served by the site anyway  06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti
