Can any non-Aus guys tell me what the official service intervals are for their vehicles please? I'm particularly interested in UK (Which I thought was 12 months or 12,000m, but it's been a while since I was there now!) and SA, but it would be interesting to see a good overview of what gets mandated per country.
Here, they're 6 months or 12,000km, and getting hit for my 2 year/48,000k major today when the car has done only 36,000k just got me thinking as to why ours are so short. I was initially thinking the heat and environment would require more frequent oil and filter changes, but it seems only the engine oil and filter gets done. Air filter is something like 72,000k, and gear box, transfer box and diff oil even longer!!
Just interested in a grumpier moment when faced with a $1,200 bill. - Jeff K -
