I pick up my 07 D3 HSE on Friday and I can hardly wait. I've had four 300 Tdis in the past but this will be my first 3. I do have a 1965 Series 2 which has been rebuilt on a 100" Range Rover chassis with a 3.5 litre Mazda engine.
This forum is amazing and I've been on it constantly for the past couple of days. I'll post some pics of both my vehicles at the weekend.
Cheers folks.

hi jamie,
hope all goes well with the new d3,i got mine 4 weeks ago,its the 3rd one i have had but its the best,2008 zermat silver, auto(great for towing the caravan) the wheels are 18"upgrades like the d/4 gs,it has s/steel side tubes,headlamp/tail lamp guards half chrome mirror caps, door protectors with stainless inlay ,inside(no leather could not afford it)but dash panels in silver with chome trime round the cup holders, which make it a lot brighter inside.no doubt you will keep looking at it through the window(like i do)
cheers

Enjoy it. Picked up my 07 HSE in May, and 5k later it is nearing a service. Land Rover promised me it would be cheaper to service than my Defender was
Enjoy! Alex

Jamie
Hope you enjoy it, but bear in mind, it's not the money you pay out for the purchase of the vehicle, it's the fortune you can pay out on accessories, upgrades and plain old toys for boys that adds up. I have had my D3 for around two months now, spent a fortune. Like you, I find this Forum invaluable, especially for hints and tips.
Have fun.

Thanks for the replies. I'm off down to Perth early tomorrow to pick up my D3. I'm swapping my 3.0 petrol Subaru Outback so I'll see how the Discovery compares to the fuel consumption on my way back North. It can't be much worse than the Scoob as I never, ever saw over 30 mpg on that - usually low 20s. A good car that I would recommend to anyone. Not the new one, though. That's as ugly as sin!
