Mail stuck in the outbox, just means they haven't been read on-line by the recipient i.e. the may have replied to you based on the notifying e-mail rather than going in and reading the PM on the Disco3 website.
As for the Sent items, only thing I can think off is that you've exceeded the limit and I think the oldest ones then drop off, but I'm not sure on that.LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.
