I am looking to upgrade the sat nav within my disco 3 but am curious to know if all i need to do is to place the dvd in the cd player or if i need a special attachment to do so?
I have a upgraded sounds system with the hardon/karmen system if that makes any difference.

I'm sure when I done mine a couple years ago it was just put the disk in -------------------------------------------------
if you cant hold on dont let go , it ill come in handy for something even if you never use it.

As said above place your new disc in the dvd drive under the passenger side seat, it should tell you on screen when updting and you should get a green bar to indicate how the install is progressing.

Mine won't, even though it has the dvd logo on the drive, will only accept my satnav disc?

Umm, not sure to be honest, I'll have to check when swmbo returns with vehicle later, pretty certain it was original though, albeit needing updating as I think the date was about 2002. Only had the vehicle under a week so still picking things up

How do i find out what sat nav i have within my car (Denso etc) as there are serveal discs available but depends which system it is...? As i do not want to buy the wrong disc.
