LR3 chassis from the Explorer? Buckling issues? |
|
Hiya everybody!
Whilst looking at LR3 vids on youtube (I want one) i came across a guy claiming that the LR3 is built on the
Ford Explorer chassis. Everything i have found has said that is not the case but this guy is adamant. Does
anyone know for absolute certain?
Further he said that a 'friends' 05 LR3 chassis permanently buckled whilst offroading without doors.
Is that even possible? Has that happened to anyone here?
If anyone is interested here is the link to the vid and the argument
Cheers

why would someone go offroading without doors one of the strong points about the D3 is the fact that the chassis has very little torsional flex and you can still easily open and close the doors with two diagonal wheels off the floor with the same effort as if all wheels were grounded. James May would describe this bloke perfectly.

Dunc, can you change that to a link please instead of copying the whole text, especially as it's not D3 related.

He's speaking total rubbish. I'm also sure that there are no 105-series 'cruisers in the US, so his claims are bs.
