Starting at the Marseilles ferry port on the 10th of October, we will guide you through Tunisian customs then drive down to Matmata for an overnight stay in a Troglodyte hotel! From there, we’ll explore the varied tracks and trails of Central Tunisia. With four days of wild camping and terrain as varied as you could wish to see – rocky mountains to savanna – like plains, salt flats, dried up river beds, mountain passes and of course, the Sahara. We’ll then go North towards Tozeur for an overnight hotel stop, visiting ‘Rommels Pass’ on the way back to Tunis for the return Ferry, arriving back in Marseilles on the 19th. Price is £1820 per vehicle with up to two occupants, price includes ferry & hotels on a B&B basis, but not food or fuel. Note that fuel surcharges may be levied by the ferry company, a 50% deposit will be required by 11th of July.
This trip will also recce some new routes around the Erg El Mitt and down towards Remada before heading north-west towards Ksar Ghilane and the Roman fort, Tisavar.

After 2 days of freezing my ar$e off at Eastnor, the thought of getting back to air temp at 32c and beer at about -4c has a certain appeal!!! Put me down for some of that and I can well recomend the trip to all based on great trip last year. I even have a proper fridge now! Honda dogs say "We love our Jazz coz it never breaks down. We leave that to the Landy Rovers."

Looks like it's going to be the 'usual suspects' well at least we'll have 160 litres of cold beer capacity between us If anyone else wants to join us, all you need is a standard D3, an additional spare wheel, two jerry cans and a sense of adventure! TorqTune

Been doing the same, box to stack 4 25ltr Wolf boxes, everything else bolted or strapped down! Might be a bit cozy in the D3, esp if Mike is joining us??? Wouldn't be the same without his jokes!! Honda dogs say "We love our Jazz coz it never breaks down. We leave that to the Landy Rovers."
