I was bon in lichfield and still live there. My Mum worked in Div HQ at the barracks until she retired, she would have been there at the same time as you.
I'm in a shipyard in Denmark at the moment but should be home at the end of next week. There's a Midland Area Pub Meet planned for 13th Oct, I think it will be in Shenstone, but not confirmed yet.
I'll send you a PM when I get home......see if you fancy a beer! 07 Silver TDV6 XS Manual + Tubes, Tints, White indicator repeaters, Xtreme H7s, LR dog Guard and Valeao Windy-Wipers

DG - has the Fairmile changed ownership or something?
Couldn't spot a single face I recognised of the staff last visit.
The place seemed pretty empty too.

It has changed management Taz...the United Nations I suspect I haven't really been happy with them on the last few visits TBH ....they have been more than a little surprised when we have turned up and I'm not convinced that the food is being produced by anyone dressed in chefs whites
Franky my last meal there was !
I think we should meet there this month ...but with a view to taking suggestions for an alternative venue in the future if they don't buck their ideas up Powered by TorqTune

DG- Hmmm yeah I was wondering - I didn't get to the August meet cos of Hols so was quite surprised by the situation on the last meet. Lucky we used the TazDaz 'credit crunch' whip last time then
Seriously, my food wasn't up to usual (at least it was cheap with the 2 for £10 offer)
Wonder what others think about a change of venue
I beleive you and DiscoStu may have an alternative?
time for a poll?
