just fitted the radio buttons. Great instructions.
Was a little bit nervous about handling the airbag but everything went fine. Took me about 20mins, but I'm not very experienced with this kind of thing.

Good on You DiscoHead.
The mass of the air-bag module floored Me. Apart from expecting it to deploy whilst in my hands.
Cheers,
David. Did you think I would leave you crying,

Hi Alinton, great mod, but I wondered if you could retro fit cruise control in the same way? Presumably you would have to buy the switches etc but how would you activate the software?
Thanks Justin Philipps

Feedback for the Aussies on this post.
Module was delivered to my door for AU$97.00 in 4 days from nice Nick at Yeovil.... I'd struggle to get service like that here from my LR dealer.
Now just to get my car back froom the panel beaters so I can fit the module...
Cheers

Hi, i have just fitted one. It works fine. It's a little difficult to remove the airbag with the tool.
Results:
----------
radio fucntions: OK for tunning and volume. The button mode swich only between radio and CD fonction. It not switch to AUX Function.
Lightning: it's OK
setting car parameters: it works fine. this is the surprise.
A little advice: remove the horn fuse before work on the steering wheel, your neigbours will be happy

Try pressing and holding the Mode button. This is what you do to switch to aux on the hi-line system anyway IE - 05 D3 TDV6 HSE - Zambezi Silver

Great thread - convinced me I can do it. Ordered the part - €45.98 from Drive in Cork. Installed and working. Only problem was when I was replacing the horn button and the 5 white pegs fell out. Still did it in 20 mins. Thanks for the info. The Double D's
