Thanks for all th replies. I think we've established that it's the lower screen facier (black surround that cover the wiper motors, running across the bottom of the screen) if we run water over the NS lower part of the screen the water runs in. If you lift the the top of that facier with your fingers you can see the same type of clip holds that on as is used on the A pillar facier (#dzm000070).Hope this helps anyone else suffering this problem if you discounted the sunroo leak off pipe as we have. cannot be 100% sure this is the fix but dribble test in that area show water coming in at the clip area.
Final test to be carried out when the new clips are fitted and the car need a (shoosh Car Wash) emmm free Galaxy Chocolate.
will update on final test.

Hi Balders,
Had same problem today in car wash, no sun roof fitted sooooo gotta be something else, will check nearside lower wind screen area and pollen filter. hmmm Occured when facing uphill water dribbling on my feet in passenger foot well.Its not a leak, its marking its territory.

I replaced the clip, but still water leaking in!!!!
I will be taking another good look at it on Sunday, I will let you know what I find.

By the looks of it your air inlet duct is missing from the Plenum chamber
Several options -
give Nick @ Yeovil a ring
email 10forcash to sort it out - who knows what else might be missing.
move to somewhere permanently hot

Hi,
Has anyone any further advice on this. I appear to have exactly the same problem on my HSE. I have done the sunroof drain tubes test and they appear to be funcitoning correctly. However, further testing indicates that a leaking pollen filter is to blaim for a wet passenger footwell.
The pollen filter inlet looks exactly the same as the pictures in this thread. Does anyone know if there should be a piece of ducting over the pollen filter?

Sorry, but really dumb qusetion - where in the tray are the drain holes - looked for my mine other day and cannot see them - is D4 different?

The drain holes are in the sunroof - on the front edge. Open the sun roof and lift up the wind deflector. You can see the drain holes under there.
Has anyone any experience of whether a duct should be fitted on top of the pollen filter?

Yes I had the exact same problem.
I removed the plemun chamber (funny name) and covered up a part of the air inlet box. It did not have any effect on the air inflow into the car.2005 Discovery 3 V8 SE

got myself a another HSE as my first one got stolen and ended up in Poland!!!
Been to the car wash and guest what, wet pollen filter!!!! I will be replacing clips and adding some duck tape.

How do you get to the pollen filter ot check it?
Does the trim across the bottom of the windscreen simply pull off?
I have/had the same problem, I think it was the A-pillar trim, but I want to check the pollen filter too.

Pollen filter is located behind glove box, open the large glove box squeeze the hinge thingy together to let the glove box open right up and then you will see where the pollen filter lives, remove the cover then the pollen filter can be removed, I hope that makes sense !!!!
