Roof mount DVD/TV now fitted
I took the roofmounted DVD/TV out of my old D3, and reftitted over the weekend
Its a veiwtech (£199 of ebay about 3 years ago), that has DVD player, TV tuner, and FM modulator all built in (so audio plays through the car stereo)
I've added a 4way diversity arial with amp (which is what the little switch on the front has been added for, so that I can switch the amp off if I want to)

Alarm internals and sensors have been moved into the dVd base - you can see the sensors
Works a treat, saw lots of action in the old car, so should be good in the new one.

Nice job Al
Does the TV tuner actually work? What can you get reception-wise?A happy childhood ... is the worst possible preparation for life.

TV tuner is OK when stationary - rubbish on the move, but hey ho, wasnt expecting much, its the DVD that gets used on the move. Reception does depend on where I am. On my drive, which is slightly the "wrong" side of a hill from the transmitter, I can get great BBC1, ITV, and Channel 5, but beeb 2 and channel 4 are rubbish.
I'll be screwed when analogue signal gets turned off anyway

Why? It just gives you an excuse to buy and fit a 12v freeview box I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.

Hey, you can never finish the list of modifications, there is always something else you can do I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.
