Tow bar and parking sensors.

Does anyone have a fixed towbar with parking sensors fitted. Does the towbar cause the parking sensors to beep, if not what tow bar do you have.

Short answer, No, as long as the vehicle is programmed for the tow bar fitment.

Factory bar and electrics. Cuts the rear sensors. Well it does on mine

Thanks for that, I have all the electrics so I would guess it's probably programmed for a tow bar then.

Do you mean when towing or just when the towbar is fitted?

If so then yes the sensors are disabled when there is a trailer connected to the electrical sockets but the sensors still work when there isn't.

My fixed towbar isn't picked up by the sensors, they work as normal. Thumbs Up 2014 D4 XS

Yes James that's what I meant, when your not towing, I guessed they would detect the trailer and need turning off but I didn't want to buy a fixed tow bar and find the parking sensors detect it rendering them useless all the time. Thanks for that.
