First time in the snow with my Disco3!

Having always wanted a Disco3 since it arrived on the market I managed to buy one 4 weeks ago. A grey 2.7 HSE from October 2005 with 60.500km on the clock. I had a set of Vredestein Wintrac 4xtreme fitted as pair of the deal.

Today there was a lot of snow in the Netherlands... I simply cannot believe the grip this car has! I have been driving an A6 3.0l TDI Quattro for the last years. The A6 always impressed me in bad weather conditions. It is nothing compared to the Disco3! Almost to the point that I missed playing with the car in the snow.

Will drive to my family in law in Italy after Christmas; hope the weather in the mountains will be really bad.....

Am really, really, really happy to drive a car delivers on it's promise again. Hope the snowing will continue here.

Mies.

Welcome Thumbs Up

I too remember my first D3 snow experience. It is indeed a very special vehicle.

Ditto went out for some fun in the snow tonight.

About 5 minutes from my house down a single track road, car left at the side of the road. Tracks zig zagging half the way up before turning back. Cruised up in third no problem. Awesome.

Went off for a couple of hours to find more challenging places! Twisted Evil

I'm off white laning in mine in a bit, there is a lane near me with a dog walk halfway along it in some woods so its a great excuse to go out and play.

Got a spade, some loppers, a carpet, plenty of warm clothes and the dog!

I remember my first time too Thumbs Up

D2 was pretty good, but I remember pointing the D3 at the hill near our house, sticking it in snow mode, and being utterly amazed at the way it so easily worked its way up a steep hill with very deep snow... and that was with rubbish road tyres![/img]
