They shall not grow old as those of us left grow old. Age shall not weary them, nor the years condem. At the going down of the sun, and in the morning WE WILL REMEMBER THEM

I didn't understand how they solved the beam problem. They showed the problem as being solved when the beam was spread a meter or so apart between the two walls (in the test area) but the real house that walls were much further apart and the beam would have had to be much much stronger, but thus ussye was never shown. I think they must have had to use something other than lego for that.
Great idea though.D3 HSE MY05 Auto

Was that on the programme? i didn't think i heard them mention it. I think the beams would struggle over the distances they were looking it. Although I think if they had made the beam more of an arch shape (like an old stone bridge) then that could have worked.
It was interesting as it showed some engineering difficultiesD3 HSE MY05 Auto

Typical Architects - take all the arty praise whilst the engineers actually make the things work.

ONLY 16%, that's better than most builders, who run out on day 1, then have to wait for three weeks for delivery (or is it nine months......) Of course there was the impact of the poncy design woman who was having hysterics because the builder had an idea. On the subject of the builder - what a character -"Yup we can do it, not sure how, but we'll do it attitude (bet he wanted to do something very painful to the poncy design woman).Rob Smith
