Hi All
Just a thought Bucksta, if you really after a fun off road toy, I wouldn't get a D3......if money is no object spec yourself up a nice Defender, much more fun......then when you develop a family and kids you can "retire" graciously into a D3.......
Also I have to say that while I am considerably older than 18, I have now been on the receiving end of verbal (and written) abuse due to my car rather more times than I would like....a problem I never had with Defenders!!
really ought to change this.........

Hello everyone.
After almost buying a Disco II a few times over the past few years, I finally bought myself an LR3 a week ago. I found a 2006 Chawton white SE-7 V8 with 10K miles... and it's been in with Land Rover for two days out of the week with an alignment issue! Talk about baptism by fire
I am going to look to add a few things, so hopefully you'll all go gently on me as I ask way too many questions.
Nice to be part of this forum, and I look forward to getting to know many of you.

Thanks Maverick - firstly the one thing my wife wanted, that we couldn't find on a vehicle we wanted... the cooler!
Then a full size spare, front brush bar, and perhaps lights.

Hey, thanks Maverick.
Not going as main driver as it is too expensive...got a quote for around £5k was like so...parents are going as main drivers and me as an additional, even with the car being mine! which brings it down to £1,900 which i dnt think is too bad. maybe if my parents like driving it that much they may steal it from me if theyre paying for it!....hope not! am going hunting this weekend, may go to MJ Fews or somewhere close to home. Just hope i get one soon as i am getting twitchy feet!

Defenders are pretty nice too tbh! saw one on autotrader recently, too expensive and too tricked out for my liking. Will put an image on here tomorrow to show you how insane it actually was as i have picures on my other pc. My friend has a 1.2 4wd subaru justy and his insurance is £1500 which i think is insanely expensive. and thats for third party f&t! but its a great little car to drive, had a little mess around off roading in it.
You have any other Landys apart frm the disco 3? [/img]

Along with the Disco I (we) have a Defender 90 (my dads) and a series 3 SWB (mine) in need of a lot of TLC! All pics in my gallery! Happiness is a vectored thrust! (As seen on a Harrier GR3)
