Hi all
Just joined the forum. Moving over from the Freel2 forum as I have just set the wheels in motion to purchase my D3 having caught the Green Oval disease seriously after 9 months of very happy FL2 ownership.
Looking forward to collecting the beast next Saturday having been lucky to find an ex demo that matched the budget. D3 TDV6 GS Manual Java Black

Hope the owning experience will be as good as the dealer provided yesterday when I went over to Huddersfield to look at the intended purchase. I got the best test drive I've ever had, nearly an hour on all types of roads and a pretty extensive demo of the abilities of the transmission etc. ROCAR Moores just east of Huddersfield certainly seem to know how to tempt you!

Hi everybody, new to this site so please bare with me. Have been interested in all Land Rovers for years now. I dont currently have a Discovery 3 at the moment but hoping that may change soon, will keep you all posted on that though. Do have a Freelander 2 as a company car but because of my job i cant change/modify these. Look forward to spending many hours on this site.
Thanks
Steve.

Welcome, Steve. My Yorkshire-born neighbour can echo that, as she is now an FL2 owner, c/w "interesting" quilted leather seats. Their price and willingness to deal swung it over the local dealer's offer. Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana

Hi all!
I sold my old Audi a couple of months ago and I really needed a car again, and I decided to go big this time.
It was only one car that was in my sight and that was the Nissan Pathfinder! That was the car I was gonna buy!
No question about it!
Anyways.. I testdrove a D3 yesterday and ended up with a contract saying I had just bougt it.
Love at first sight I'll tell you that. 2005 TDV6 HSE PP is that about right?
Hopefully I'll be able to pick it up in a few days.
Nice to find such a forum, makes me even less hesitant about the purchase when I know there are helpful followers online.
Be prepared for a lot of questions and I hope my english is excused as I'm from the far north and usually speak a cruder language.

Welcome Brede!
Audi must have been a bit of a struggle in all the snow you have there!
Hope you enjoy your D3! Happiness is a vectored thrust! (As seen on a Harrier GR3)

| Transmission Vibration - when Towing - also just joined |
|
Hi All,
I have just joined as I found the website extremely useful. I took delivery of my brand new Disco3 HSE just before Xmas'06, love every minute of it. I nearly went for Range Rover Sports, but w/ the kids the Dsico3 is the practical choice. The wife drives it most of the time, but I get a chance to drive when we go caravaning - which happens every 6-8wks. We have 24ft caravan, the Disco3 tows it effortless, and love the air suspension.
But during our xmas'07 - 2 weeks caravaning, I noticed when taking off at the traffic light, and it only happens when changing 3rd gear to 4th gear, on bitumen smooth surface, I felt as though the car was riding on corrugation; transmission vibration? It happened few time, and it is intermitten. Taken to LR service dept, can't find any fault. Has anyone come across this?
Looking forward to the replies...
Ned/from Perth
PS: also just before xmas'07, I have traded in my old '98 VX Grande Prado for '07 110 Defender

Hello just joined as thinking about getting a Disco 3. I used to be Land Rover through and through till 3 years ago when lousy dealer failing to rectify an even more lousy Disco 2 put me right off Land Rover so been driving a Honda CRV for the last 3 years. However I do have an original 1989 Discovery 1 V8 as well so never totally left the fold.
Reading your dealer area has really been helpful as I live amongst the dreaded Stratstones monopoly. However next time I am in Torver I feel I could be coming home poorer!!!
