Hello everyone,
I've been reading this site now for the last twelve months.
The time has come to sell the old Range Rover (It's being to cost more and more money) and get a new toy I've decided to join this forum as the D3 won the battle between a newer Full Fat or D3 (plus my brother likes the terrain responce in the D3).
Thanks for now
John

Hi Gareth,
Thanks for the welcome.
All being well Septemberish and the Spec will be what I can afford.
I won't be buying new so that all depends on what is out there when I start looking.

Hi all
Just saying hello as I have been lurking in the shadows for the past year as a guest. As I have become more serious about taking the plunge with a DISCO recently I decided to nail my colours to the mast.
Have to try and work on SWMBO now!
Excellent site and great people as far as I can see.

Welcome PaulM.
Show SWMBO the driving position and the safety that the command driving position gives (being able to see further down the road) and she'll be smitten.
Let us know what and when you get it.

Thanks Craig
Just come back from a weeks walking in Aviemore did 1500 miles up back and around. Our IDEA was loaded to the gunnels with the Labrador taking the back seat and SWMBO having to have her seat further forward due to needing the space behind. The engine is only 1.4 and I did keep mentioning "no can't do that overtake no guts in the engine so not safe". Couple that with her not being able to take everything she wants with her and positivly nothing extra to take back and it's hopefully only a matter of time.
The B+B where we stay also obliged with a quick run about in his GS Auto just to show her what it's about without haveing to do it at a stealer. SWMBO sitting in the back with ours and two other labs in the rear gave her somthing to think about.
Back up there again in September so who knows. Ideally she will suggest a closer look at which point I will strike and reach for the keep net.

Hi there,
I have been reading through different posts as a guest and will hopefully be getting the 2009 D3 XS Commercial around Aug/Sep. Do have lots of questions regarding the Commercial situation but am steadily working my way through the myriad of posts so that you don't have to answer the usual Newbie nonsense that has alrady been answered a thousand times
If I get too tired though I am afraid I may have to bombard you with said irritating questions!
Cheers,
Adam

Hey guys. Discos rock. Best car I have ever had. I test drove Mercedes R Class, BMW X5 and the Audi Q7. The Disco beats all hands down.
The voice command is interesting though. Never connects me to what I want - though it was because I'm Scottish by doesn't work for my hubby either and he's from London.
Anyway, hello to all, and looking forward to chatting to you in the future.
Cheers

Think you need the dealer for the regional accents software upgrade!! I've given up with it.
Anyway Hello & Welcome - you are right best of the bunch by a country mile. Keep the Over 10000 miles of trouble-free motoring......well almost .....(only two visits to dealer and 3 days without)

| Hello from TallPaul (previously known as whatgoeshere!) |

Hi All,
I never did post a "Hello" so here is a belated one!
I have been lurking for a few years, but we just bought a Disco3 MY07 Black HSE last month, previous owner near Solihull it seems, thankfully seems to have been some exec run-around rather than Land Rover experience fodder or up over the decapod thing! Technically its SWMBO's transport... but we'll see about that
I signed up just before we bought and the forum would not give me "TallPaul" my usual moniker so where it said "user name" I just shoved in whatgoeshere... which I later regretted so the gracious site admin has renamed me
Should be along to the southern meet this month, third time lucky this time!
Paul
