| Hello, good evening and .........whatever, wherever you are! |
|
Just joined the fold after coming across the site while surfing for all things Disco.
On my second 300 TDI ES - Bless it, ruddy marvelous machine, but a few too many miles under them tyres now Keeping it to play in though:D as there is plenty of life left yet. The new beast will now have to carry me around in the comfort I've got used to.
So here I am looking forward to replacing my ES with a 3 HSE - well you get used to all the bells and whistles don't you? Trading up to the 3 having decided to skip the TD5 and finally scraping together the moolah for a 3.
Look forward to being around and getting involved
Cheers, If you make a mistake, learn from it and get over it

Thanks - Spent some of the company's time today running through the posts etc and appreciating all the helpful advice and info on the site.
OK so I should have been working but........... but well worth joining. Once the new beast arrrives next week, I will probably let the son and heir to the overdraft borrow my 300 so we can explore some lanes locally - got to break him in slowly.
Is anyone in the Bucks, Beds, Herts areas getting together for laning or P & P days?
Would like to get down to the monthly meet as I'm working in Surbiton so not too much of a deviation If you make a mistake, learn from it and get over it

Afternoon All, i've just joined the Disco3 fold, moved up from a much loved TD5.
I'll probably be needing some advice in the future, mainly on rear seat entertainment options....
Thanks

Shouldn't that be moved to the 'dogging' thread...? TDV6 HSE Black, Black Wheels /MTR's(in the shed!), Black RRS front/rear LR badge (tbf) Black Leather, Black Glass, Black TowB, Shiny Tasmods, Dull Mantec, White (& Orange) Reflective D3 Sticker, Black steering wheel badge, black air intake. Optima & Traxide dual battery setup.
Need black RRS wheel centre caps.
Now with added Engel.....
We D3, therefore we are..........

Hi All,
Just waiting for the paperwork to go through on my D3 commercial XS.
It has a tough act to follow, that is, my 18 year old Toyota Landcruiser.
Mine will be used and abused as a work horse, I'm engineer in industrial plant.
I like the way the rear wheels don't intrude in to the cargo space. The ride I found to be excellent.
It's not the fastest thing on the motorway, but is pretty effortless and precise to drive. Obviously didn't go off road on the test drive.
I'm sure it'll cope with winter site jobs. Just a bit concerned about the under belly.
Don't think the plastic 'snow plough' in front of the spare wheel, will last long.
What are the options for skid plates etc?

welcome robbed
There is under body protection available but I have to say that many of us have been through arduous off-road conditions without any damage to the underside . The front mantec plate is a good investment though as this protects the vulnerable intercooler As for the 'snow plough' ...that's the heat shield for the spare wheel ...I've have bits break off mine ...but it's only a few pounds to replace if you feel the need Powered by............................

Hi All,
A great forum! - I had passed through here a couple of times but thought it was only a UK site. The the other night a google search on duel battery setups for disco 3 landed me in a thread with a bunch of Aussies hiding down the back!
Anyhow i read for hours and had som many of the answers i had been trying to find for questions I had - how relieved not to be left out landrover anymore!!!
Cheers
Dan ...it's on the other side!
