You're in for a treat..... The 300/TD5 were good, but the D3 is in a different league
Welcome to the forum BTW. The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom

Hello all,
I've been sculking around in the background for some time now and finally decided to register. I've currently got a 300tdi as a bit of a toy and I've been thinking of a D3 rather more seriously recently. I've been a member over on the DOC for a few years now.
I suppose it is not a question of IF but WHEN I get a D3. I am undecided on whether to drop the 300tdi or keep them both and have the D3 as a shiney one. (I would really like to get a D3 dirty though!)
So, hello, and I look forward to speaking to you all!

Hi Clubber - just joint the site myself - agree with previous post - keep the 300tdi as a serious play toy. I intend using the D3 off road but not anything as serious as I use the defender ( at the moment ) Going to add a few pics to the gallary shortly.

Hi all, I have been reading the posts for a few weeks while sourcing the car and have been amazed at the level of technical knowledge and the lengths people will go-to to make things work. This is our third Landrover but first Discovery. (poor experiences with Freelander 1 cars for my wife in 1999 and 2001). I have had four Grand Cherokees over the years but so far I am glad to have made the switch now that we need the extra seats.
all the best

Welcome aboard Mozza - I'm sure you'll enjoy the vehicle and won't regret the decision.
Maybe see you at the SE Pub Meet later this month.

to all the D3 Gurus here....
I wish I had found this forum in late 2004 when I picked up my first MY04 D3 HSE but such is life. I'm now on my second HSE (MY8.5) that I picked up a couple of weeks ago and which has already been ministered to by TFC.... If I hadnt of found this forum I'd never have known that improvements could be made
Anyway, I have already picked up loads of useful stuff from the mountain of information in here. Thanks eveyone for the information retained here and the answers to all the daft/silly questions I am bound to chuck in from time to time
