Great site! Thanks all for the wealth of information. I just purchased a 2006 LR3 HSE yesterday. I drove it nearly 800 miles in one day (the dealer was in Oklahoma and I live in Colorado) but the great deal and finding exactly what I wanted mandated the drive. It was all worth it! What a nice drive that was! The ride/handling/seating was superb. So well thought amenities for the occupants and the power surely puts a grin in the driver's face (that was me). However, there is an issue and I think it is common...I've got suspension faults messages with the amber suspension light illuminating during the first 2-3 start ups and once immediately after I accelerated while I was still/ idling. The suspension then programs to normal mode with the suspension fault message indicated. The message has not re-appeared after this morning and I did started the vehicle a few times...however, I can barely raise or lower the vehicle any more. Thank God for the warranty; it's going in to the dealer this week. Other than that, I am in love with my new ride and soon I hope to explore much of the back country wheeling in the Rockies!
Cheers!

The should have been an enhansement program carried out on it. Check that the dealer has done this it should have sorted the suspension issues. It ivolved complete in-install of software and compreeor/valve changes.

Quote A034/A036V3 Service Action to the dealer. It did not take properly for some and had to be re-loaded. Getting there is half the fun

Hi Everyone
I've been following this forum for 2 weeks or so. Coming from a Defender 90 its great to find a site for passionate Discovery owners!
Got my new Izmir blue TDV6 S on Friday. This is the new spec S with specs close to the previous SE. What a fantastic car, nothing else compares! Only problem so far is a steering wheel that is slightly off-centre.
I drove straight from LR to trade the Wranglers for Cooper Discoverer ATR tyres. For what we want to do this offers IMO the best compromise between tar and offroad. They are also a bit wider 255/65/17.
I took some pictures with my camera phone - not very good quality, but anyway Louis

Hi everybody,
Just picked up my first disco and what a car, i've been driving a LR90 for a while but decided i needed more space for the kids and the dogs. So i invested my hard earned cash in an 05 S spec manual TDV6 in Cairns Blue with some very welcome extras (7 seat conversion, heated seats, sat nav, uprated sound pack). I've just ordered my DISCO3 sticker so watch out for me having fun.
If anybody has any questions about service or parts then just pm me cause the missus is service manager at our local dealer.

Just bought an 08 LR3 SE - having had an 02 D2 SE7 previously.
As an ex pat Brit living in the US, I still like to fly the flag with the vehicle I drive.
Looking forward to taking the LR3 out to explore the US SW like we did with the D2 - it seems to be an amazing vehicle!

Hi all!
I've been visiting this excellent site for over a year now and thought it was time to sign up.
Part of the reason why I have not joined previously is that I do not yet own a D3 and sort of felt like an imposter. As soon as I can get the money sorted I'll make the transition from D1 (stop laughing - we all have to start somewhere!) to D3. I really, really can't wait!!

Thanks!
Still not sure how the D2 stayed so clean getting to that point - looking forward to snapping the LR3 in a similar locale and maybe having a shot at the Disco3 calender one year. 08 LR3 SE - 02 D2 SE7
