Hi just thought I'd check in.This is our fourth Landy and it is the best by far.
2006 HSE TDV6. Had the brake pad light come on at 25000km (thats right we bought it from a Doctor who had travelled 15000km in 3 years his loss)read a few threads from your site and tackled it myself - Thanks for saving us $1300.00 AUS from the dealer quote, and the praise for the vehicle lives on.
Looking forward to some more excellent tips and advice for future projects - the DVD might be next. :Djavascript:emoticon(' ')

| Hi and a little help please. |
|
Hi, I have bought myself a Disco 3 HSE 07 plate 25k mls in perfict condition without breaking the bank. Super motor!! Just been down to Austria and back and found a few problems which I hope someone out there can help me with.
When using front snow/rain/fog driving lamps the fuse keeps blowing, despite the lights being on for a period of time. Cannot locate a fault and
Some where whilst driving in the snowey mountains I have managed to loose a nearside running board foot step trim. Does anyone know where I can replace it without buying new running boards..
Any help please.. would be gratefully recieved
Chris

wiring rubs on chassis (sharp edge on bumper frame) - there are threads from 2007 about this, and pics in my gallery (or there WERE - not checked for yonks)
PM me for phone talk-through if required.

Good plan - but you access the chafing by removing the lamp - you can sit on a chair and do it! 06 TDV6 2.7litre (!) SE Tonga Green

Just thought I'd introduce myself..after lurking for a while!
After having my RRSport stolen from my driveway last month, decided to replace it with a 56 plate SE.
Have only owned it for a week..few issues need sorting of course, but this is a great site which I can see will come in very handy during the course of ownership!

After missing the green oval in my life for the last 5 years I have returned to Land Rover ownership in the form of a D3. After 7 defenders it does take a bit of getting used to. Where are the puddles in the footwell? and the doors actually close and shut properly!
Still its early days!!
Great site - i'm sure it will be a godsend.

Hi,
I've just bought a 2007 TDV6 SE from Guy Salmon in Bristol. This is my fourth Land Rover, the first being a SWB Series 3, and then a '76 Range Rover - which was then 'modified'; turned into a Hybrid with Series 3 SWB bodywork and a 3.9 EFi V8, did quite a bit of 'Laning around Berkshire in the '90's.
I'm now a little older and am likely to use the Disco only occasionally off-road - 'Soft Roading' I think is the correct expression.
Anyway - HELLO!!!
p.s. Can anyone recommend a decent outdoor cover to protect the vehicle??

Just bought my first Disco, its a 56 plate SE from a LR dealer. So far so good, well pleased with it - just missing a bit a grunt compared to my previous normal cars....
Look forward to exchanging some banter on the site - great site by the way; a real step up from prevous ownership sites that I been involved with.
All the best,
Bobster (The)

Hello All, [Newbi]
Glad to be member, its been 6 months or so with my disco 3 '56' S Auto, and very pleased with it too! but starting to tinker as per usual, no tow bar, just ebayed 1 and hopefully soon to be able to tow [tow what?] a caravan [next on list]. Can highly recomend the Grabbers UHP just added, also 'chipped up' power and economy, and so far so good.
Sat nav next!

Well Hello All,
I found this forum looking for stuff. Joined yesterday.
I get the feeling this site is 90% GB - Hope you dont mind 'continental Europeans' joining .
Anyway - I am on my Second Disco - I got my Current D3 in 2007, after driving an LR Discovery '2003' for 4 years - I guess I don't have to explain here what is the attraction -
Cheers!
