Hi Everyone!
New to the Forum. Thought it best to do more reading about the D3 as I am about to take ownership of a 2007 V6 here in the UAE.
Wish all the best, and Eid Mubarak greetings!

Hello
Hello all,
Newby here.
Having had LR's for a fair few years I have recently changed my '02 4.6 RR P38 to a 2006 (poverty spec) silver D3 2.7 Auto, 104k on the clock. I say poverty spec but has some nice upgrades, rushed leather seats, Kenwood bluetooth stereo, Alpine sat nav, sport wheels.
Have done so far :
Front disks / pads - thanks to Bodsys brake bible (one slider pin on caliper was seized & made a real mess of the disk) . Just need to tackle the rears next.
Fitted the sat nav screen properly to make it look factory fit.
Waxoiled the underside.
Replaced the ageing badges with gloss black & a DISCOVERY decal for the bonnet.
Also fitting a reversing camera this week.
Niggles so far :
Reversing sensors intermittent, sometimes get a continous beep, sometimes they work fine.
Steering wheel slightly off centre.
Just getting my head round the D3 & hope to contribute to the forum in the same fashion i've done on Landyzone for the past 5 years.

Tired and new to me Disco.....and Disco Forum
Picked up my first ever Discovery today (From Truro - then drove back to home to Norfolk).
Day 1: Very pleased how she drove the c.400 mile trip home.
I'm ex RRS (2012) and FFRR (2014) owner and am very impressed with Disco4.
I went for a used (2014) White with white interior and added side steps - a little Miami but to my taste and the wife likes it too.
Looking forward to trawling the forum for info' and attending any local meets.
Cheers
Mick

New Owner
Hi Everyone,
I have just returned to 4x4's after many years away from them, just purchased a 1 owner 2007 D3 HSE in blue with a full Land Rover service history, I am good with the maintainence side of things so will be using this site for intructions and advice when needed.
Must say I do love the D3 even though I have a Jaguar XF, I prefer the drive of the D3 even though they have the same engine.
Looking forward to meeting some of you on my travels.

Hi all
Going to pick up my first ever LR next week. It is a 2006 D3 HSE. It has done 120k and has a LR service history.
I have been a Shogun owner in the past (and indeed still have one) but I needed something to tow 3.5t and that narrows the choices down a bit. American or British!!
I have to admit to being a bit nervous of the LR reliability reputation but hopefully if I take care of it, it will take care of me. And I don't mind doing that.
I have spent a lot of time going through the forum posts (I really can't thank the contributors enough for the information on here) and it is a fantastic place for information but there is so much that it gets a bit hard to know where to start.
What do I do first on the maintenance list? Prevention being better than cure.
Or should the question be - What should be on that list?
If I can get some advice then I will put a list together and I will then sort through the 1000's of post to find out how to do these jobs. Though, I should say that I am reasonable on the tools but a long way off being an expert.
I hope nobody objects to me asking on my first post having not yet contributed anything at all.
Thanks in advance.
G

Hi. I'm Mike from northampton. Had my d3 since January and love it. I've been lurking on here in the background since then but thought I'd post up as I'm getting to the point where I may be able to help others.

Been a member for a while but thought u'd say hi as i'm now a disco 3 owner. After over 11 yrs and with 175000 miles on her we have finally traded up from a disco 2 td5 to a disco 3! Its a 2009 tdv6 manual and its alovely car to drive,no bangs/thuds or rattles and goes like a missile compared to the td5. First job is to fit a hands free as it only has the base spec radio so will be no doubt asking a few questions on fitting one shortly.

Evening everyone
Have just purchased a 2005 Discovery 3 with 164000 miles on the clock
Owner of a much loved rusty Discovery 1 which I would now love to transform into a zombie killer
However I now need to tackle a suspect n/s front airbag and most probably a torque converter so zombies are safe for now, loving the forum looking forward to some banter

Just to say hi
Hi all,
I'm the new owner of my D3(ex Police car) had 3 D2's but i thought id take the plunge and get a D3.
I've had it for 3 days, nearly 4, when i had my first mishap.
'F' on the Dashboard.
Turned it off then on again worked a treat
Found out that next time i go through a ford i should lift it up next time....
Anyway HI!!
Paddy

Hi All,
Found this site while researching Aerial fits for our D4 and discovered there is a lot more useful info and many ideas that would benefit us. We have had the car for twelve months, but not had much chance to think about any tweaks or enhancements until now.
I am a true green oval fan, having had a Series III 109, a 110 (with a unrestricted V8!) and a Disco 1 previously.
Thank you for letting me join and taking advantage of all those whose ideas I will be copying in the future!!! Phil
Keep smiling & remember it is a Land Rover!

Hello All...
Hi All. I've owned a D4 for about 5 years now and loved every minute of it. I have recently done the 2014 facelift on it and it feels like a new car again. I'm really not very technical so will probably drive you guys mad with 5 years of silly questions (I'll always try google first)😜
