Popping in from the left side of the pond. Got a LR3 a few weeks ago and it's properly let me know it's going to be a high maintenance relationship having had to replace the clock spring and leaking sunroof drain (rotted rubber) right out of the gate.

Previously owned a 2004 D3 for 3 years and loved it. This site has helped me alot over the years so Thank You.
So far the new one has had her niggles but hasn't hindered the experience so far

Hi I've had a freelander 2 for 3 years & only just noticed disco 3/4's (duh been living in a cupboard )
Saw an add on ebay, pic showed disco.co.uk on back window, & now registered
Have seen a great looking d3 with all the d4 bits in Derry on the for sale forum, so will be messaging him any tips on buying a d3 & what to look out for?
Cheers

Hi
Been lurking here for a bit now as just got a D3 for my sins..
2005 6sp Manual. Think its an "S" but has had a few extras specced on original order so have a few toys
High mileage but has had the right bits changed not too long ago!!
Got it to replace my 300TDI which was getting a bit tired especially hill starting with the Caravan.
And to take over duties from the X5 that got written off for me last year..
(so am used to the PC on wheels scenario of many different computers doing something simple like turning the lights on!!)
Just had the Q393 enhancement done, but not before i (don't know how) managed to get the caravan to Cornwall... 2" of play is slightly more than the spec apparently!
Whole rear cross member replaced and new fixed bar so now wont go anywhere!
Just making copious use of the search button and will post the obligatory newbie questions shortly!!

Hi Guys,
just to leave a friendly "hello" to all of you; just registered I got my Disco3 in April this year, drove Defender before - and not regretting the change
Trying to get along here with my few words of English and I hope to find some friendly people, help when it´s needed as well as some nice parts or accessories for sale
I´ll try my best not to ask too stupid questions
Cheers or as we say : Tschö
Johannes

About to come back to the Oval Badge |
|
About to purchase a Disco 3, after years with BMW's but having acquired a small holding the need to have a proper towing vehicle has meant that one of the propeller badge cars had to be changed.
Not a stranger to Land Rovers, having had a Series 3 2.6 6 Cylinder, an original Disco, an '83 Range Rover, 2 Freelanders - but no doubt will be looking for help and advice as I reacquaint myself in a Disco 3.
Got my eyes on a 2006 base model, manual, 5 seater - so coil suspension.
Immediate on the wish list will be:
Heated Seats
Sat Nav (Garmin or similar) permanently installed
Bluetooth
Heated Screen
Remote control of the Webasto fuel heater (had one on my X5 - brilliant)
Replacement of the detachable towing gear with a drop plate hitch
Would value thoughts / comments on EGR Blanking Plugs - as I'm planning on having a tune of some sort, favourite would be a JE Engineering.
So thanking you all in advance - and please bear with me and my questions

Hello to all.
I've never owned a Disco but have friends that do and I've decided that it is the future.
A friend recommended this forum for good cars to buy and great advise.
I look forward to finding my perfect car here and picking peoples brains as I go.
Cheers
