Hi Anna. I would start a new thread, plenty of people here to give you advice on both foxwing and Morocco jollies

Hello all
Today I bought my new to me D3 from a member on here who goes by the name MarkONE.
I bought his much loved and beautifully finished 05 HSE. I have child #3 en route so I needed a bigger car than my trusty old 02 VW Golf TDI.
My father has had a TD5 Defender for years and always had Land Rover magazines in the house and that's how I got to know of the Discovery 3 initially. A colleague of mine drives a D3 daily and sang its praises, so I figured I'd have to look into it a bit more and take it from there. I love the space inside, the driving position and the Harmon Kandon speakers. ( the list goes on... fridge in the armrest!!!)
I will definitely be tuning the car, my Golf TDI is tuned to over 240bhp with an even bigger turbo waiting in the wings to bring it to 280bhp+, so I can't see the Disco avoiding a good solid whack from the tuning stick at some stage.
I must say that dealing with Mark, the previous owner was an absolute pleasure, he threw in loads of extras and gave me more advice than I could take on board.
I'm really looking forward to trips out with the family in proper comfort in my new bus!
Cheers all
Thomas

Hello all, after a wee while lurking I thought I'd say hello,
We've recently gone to a D4 to use as our work horse for trailer towing.
We started out using a defender - too slow, then a jeep- plenty powerful enough but to much tail wagging dog, the a D2 V8 on gas, really nice. Finally the D4, well it just surpasses everything, powerful, economic and very re-assuring and stable.
Have already found the forum helpful and interesting, really hope that I might be able to contribute back in the future

Hi. I am with you. D4's are fabulous cars. just out of my price range at present. How do you like the 3.0 twin turbo diesel? are you getting 35mpg?

We absolutely love the power of the 3.0 it so smooth all through the range and effortless to drive either empty or towing.
35mpg ....as we do a lot of towing are average is 24.3mpg which is pretty good for what we use it for. We have easily seen 34 on a cruise whilst empty and not towing. Never measured it properly though, only on the trip. It is what it is when you're driving a big 4x4 with 3.5 tons behind

Hi all. I've just upgraded to a '16 plate Disco4 HSE and thought it about time I joined this site officially. Having previously owned a Disco2 and Disco3 I've used this site for many years and found the threads really informative when I've been trying to fix niggles / find accessories / etc.
Looking forward to being an active member and joining in the fun.
PS - My new steed is bloody marvelous

Hi all,
Just got myself a 2010 D4/LR4 XS after having a Defender 90 XS. Have already seen some great informative posts on this site, and looking forward to getting my hands dirty with some facelift ideas I've read about, oh and think I may need an IID tool as well.
Loved my Defender, but my D4 really is the business!

Hi all,
New to the forum and saying hello. Currently looking for a D3 (HSE if poss) as a family bus for school runs and weekend jollies. My 5 series BMW is smashing through miles with doing work miles through the week and then weekend running around with the three kids. My wife has an R32 which is going to be retired to sunny days and live a pampered life hence the desire for a D3.
Look forward to seeing what’s around and joining in the forum!
Cheers
Paul

Hi everyone.
Just purchased an 09 D3 HSE, so keen to be in contact with other owners to find tips, advice and maybe bits for sale occasionally.
Used to own an old D1 that would go where ever I pointed it, better off-road than on. Looking to maybe make a couple of improvements to take the D3 off the tarmac from time to time. Nothing too extreme though. Old D1 was a toy, this is my only car.
