Ireland - Independant Land rover specialists!
Folks,
Does anybody now of any independant LR specialists in Ireland, north or south? I have a few problems with the D3 that the dealer and local mechanic cannot seem to solve. The first is the suspension all four of the abs sensors have been changed as well as the brake sensor cable plus brake pads and there are still fault lights showing no HDC, terrain response, no suspension. The diagnostics did not show any problems either. Also the steering has developed a problem in that whilst turning the wheel to the right it seems to be heavy for a part then back to normal, turning left no problem. This is the problem i need to sort out asap as I was going around a roundabout today and the steering felt as if it was locking up
Apologies if i am recovering old ground, but i am getting slightly frustrated and i dont want to paying stealer prices.
Last point, has anyone ever powerwashed the D3 engine? If so any tips/hints?
Thanks, much appreciated folks.

Yes - don't do it
I did once and it didn't like it one bit
Seriously though, i don't think the engine is a problem, it's all the scary electronics all over it, or more to the point on the bulkhead and behind the battery, some of the connectors don't seem to be very waterproof and it can result in a major screw-up of the can-bus stuff resulting all kinds of alarms and such - at least until it dries out.

Waterford's a bit far for me, but I too would like to find an Indy to help. Anyone any feedback on this Kings4x4 lot in Wicklow?
All my recent cars were looked after by a great Indy bloke called Dave Breach in Dublin, but I don't think he does Discos
