Big thank you to Gordon at 4-Tech
I'd just like to thank Gordon for the excellent "Megaflush" job on my gearbox the other day.
All I can say is "WOW what a transformation", I'd known the box wasn't quite right for a little while, with "clunky" gear-changes, particularly at lowish speed and the juddering effect during moderately heavy acceleration, but I didn't think it wasn't so bad, maybe I was just getting used to it.
Anyway, with 14 litres of nice fresh ATF, it's so much smoother now on the changes, the juddering has gone and overall it just feels so much nicer to drive and quieter, I'm convinced the MPG has improved too.
Also with the added bonus of 3 flash indicators, clock in Info display and lights on indication all activated while Gordon's Faultmate was plugged in to reset the gearbox ECU
Overall, I'd say it was money very well spent, especially since it should improve the life expectancy of the gearbox - and the permagrin Clive

The flush has made quite a difference in my fuel economy, I reckon it's improved by 10%.
Can you get the clock and lights on indication on any model year ?

Is that because you have used some super special ATF that is better than the original or because your motors have a few miles under their belts?
Cheers

I don't think it's so much "special" ATF, it's more "not worn out" ATF, any oil has a finite life-span where it ability to lubricate diminishes over time, It would appear that around the 80K mark or so it seems to benefit from a change.
Edit to add;
I could well be wrong but as far as I know, the lights on and clock display is possible on any year because the hardware is the same, except on the pre 07 ones the light display was the "FBH on" display which was never implemented, this means you get a red light instead of a green one. Also some of the software needs updating to make it work.Clive
