07 D3 in with dealer at present to investigate post p017 recall-fix poor low-speed braking.
LR Customer Care notified and case number raised.
Fingers crossed it can be sorted and everyone can still be friends.

Hmmmm,
Brakeservo was "full of oil" despite the p017 fix being done late last year. So either it was already contaminated or the valve & new pipe "fix" doesn't fix it. As the problem seems to have only come on over the last few weeks I'm leaning toward the latter.
Same symptoms as others have reported - worst case scenario is probably 10mph slight downhill incline such as motorway off ramp down to traffic lights. Brake pedal goes rock solid and you have to stand up in your seat to get enough pressure on the pedal to make it stop. Not nice.
Brakeservo, booster, piping etc replaced as necessary by Stratstones at Bury & LR customer care picked up the tab (phew).
Don't be fobbed off with tick against the p017 "technical service bulletin" as it seems the problem can persist. If you haven't yet had the mod done see your local dealer about it ASAP. PM me if you need any more detail.
Cheers

Rather worrying.
My wife commented that she thought that she has to apply more brake pressure with the D3 than she remembers; she knows nothing of the recal and 'countermeasure' that was installed. It feels ok to me but I drive it everyday and may not have noticed a gradual change.
Is there an easy and unambiguous check that anyone can recommend as I don't want to join either the 'worried well' or the 'OMG just stop' brigade?Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

Undo the connection in the vac pipe near the servo and tap the end onto your hand. If you have oil on your hand you have oil in the vacuum pipe.“There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Quite a few connections since the extra pipes of the countermeasure were added. I presume we are talking about the last pipe where it enters the booster?Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

That's the one there should be a quick connect fitting.“There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Nope it was definately done with oils. LR never paint pretty pictures. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

sounds about right , the truth slowly coming out, lol
they did offer to do a diagnostic test for £100 quid, told them not to as ive got the iid and don't think there's will tell me more what i already don't know
expect i would need a second mortgage after they finished printing out the health check
wouldn't pay there rates at over £100 quid an hour

Morning , I'm not sure if its been done on a recall so was going to call a dealer today and ask if they can tell me, however I would be pleased with that outcome of they offered to repair free of charge, I do have a warranty from where I bought the car but tbh wouldn't hold much hope of a fix.will continue as I find more info. Thanks guys.
