True or False
A good friend of mine finally took the plunge and purchased a D3 at the weekend. The dealer an approved LR dealership told him to leave the car in access mode when parked up or it will damage the suspension. I told him in 3 years of ownership I had never herd of it let alone seen anything relating to such advice on this forum. So true or false. Reading the owners manual and have not come up with anything as yet.

on my 2nd disco and never heard that one
from my experience when you switch it off it
sits down to access mode anyway
not sure of the dealers reasoning

I reckon the dealers knows there is a problem with the suspension and had advised access level so it hides the problem
I often leave mine in Off-Road height with no issues.
Ive not read anywhere or had my dealer say anything about that.

Cynic - but that's what I thought of too! E.g. leaky airbags leading to overnight settling would be masked by this trick

Cynic - maybe...but the same went through my mind. That advice is complete tosh
I would challenge it with the dealer to make sure the cynicism is unfounded.The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...

Incidentally the vehicle has done 13k and is still covered by LR warranty so I guess it is just ignorance of the product.

99% of the time I put mine into access height when leaving the car parked up. I have left it in normal and off-road height without any issues at all.
Seems very strange they are handing out that advice though.

After reading this thread I've left mine in off-road height tonight, will see what level it's at in the morning.

When I got mine they said that it "looks better " in access height, that was all.
They didn't say anything about the bongs...
