2007 Model Year Colours
Looks like my second D3 is going to be replaced courtesey of Land Rover (the neighbours can't keep track) and I have been told that the factory order will be a 2007 Model year. I am waiting to hear from them on the question I raised concerning new colours for 2007 Model year. Does anyone know of any or are they staying the same as they are?
I have Zermatt now but I have to have Ebony interior due to little feet in the back. Thinking of Bonatti, Tonga or Lugano Teal. There seem to be so many silvers about that I fancy a change but not sure where to go.
I think silver will still be the best colour for resale for some time yet. Grey is also very good and the AutoExpress magazine had a little article about a year ago saying that grey was the new silver and would be a good choice for future resale values.
D3s look excellent in Tonga Green and should do well. They also look great in Teal, but if you're choice is based on future popularity, then I'd stick with silver or grey.
I don't think the colour (unless it is gold!) has too much effect on the future resale value. However, what it will do is make the vehicle sale quicker and have more interest if it is a popular or mainstream colour.Matt

I like the Arctic frost but my father has one that colour so we'd look like a team on the drive when I visit! Like the idea of having a colour that it new to the car. Arctic with Ebony is a great combination. Maybe I should have a harlequin with every panel a different colour

I chose myan gold because I do a lot of dirt roads including my 2 km drive into my place. The D3 can be realy filfhy and still look good until you get very close to it, so not so much washing for me.

No doubting the fact that silver hides the dirt very well. However, black is widely tipped as the colour that will increase most in popularity. This is mainly because silver has now become too popular. Two friends have just replaced silver cars with black ones so maybe it's true.
I seem to see more silver D3's & virtually every RRS I see is black.

Actually my fav. colour for the D3 is B/Grey. J/black is 2nd, but chosen for two reasons, it kept the wife happy as she only likes black vehicles & hopefully may help come resale time, as I think that there will be a lot of silver D3's on the market in 2/3 years time
Black does look great for the few seconds that it remains clean, but I don't like black D3's with the dark factory tinted glass as IMO it can look very "van" like, so I've got the OE Shades for the summer.
Please don't think I'm anti silver at all, I have a silver car & it's a sensible choice for an off-roader. I just think that black will become the new silver.

My dealer is ordering all of their demo's and courtesy D3's in Tonga Green as they say that that colour appeals to the widest range of drivers. We chose that colour originally and have never regreted it. It seems to suit the cars spirit and soul (and is low maintenance).Disco 4 TDV6HSE
