Extended mode when selecting access ?

For over a week now I have been getting the amber light on for the suspension. Clears on restart sometimes. Been into dealer ,cleared faults but couldn't find anything wrong ?? Light stayed off for a few days and has now returned with the added problem that if I select "access mode" the front starts to go down but when the rear starts to follow you get a bong " extended mode"on the dash screen the "normal and off road amber lights"( by the switch ) flash and the car goes up Shocked Have checked for cats etc asleep on the bump stops or anything else stopping the car go down and all of the sensors look fine any ideas ?

I've had similar on my D3, turned out to be a squashed air pipe to the front after having the rear air con pipes replaced. (front wasnt lowering at the same speed as the rear)

Interestingly i could get it to go into excess hieght if the car was moving but as soon as it stopped, bong and into extended mode. The front and rear of the car need to lower within a set time scale of each other or the ecu thinks that an obsticle is restricting the cars lowering process.

This could also be a height sensor giving false values to the ecu.

The dealer change the ecu and a heigh sensor on mine before finally finding the real cause of the problem.

Maybe worth doing a search as this has popped up a few times.

Hope it helps a bit.

Lee
