Gearbox Judder Fixed For 30K on double flush
Anyone else in the same boat as me?
Autobox double flush at 70K. Now at 105K ish and still perfect... Guessing it's just that the oils broke down, but interested that others often describe the double flush as a temp fix?

Well I have not done 30k since, but I had a DF done by the dealer after a judder came on after a trip to France in February.
My judder showed itself up quite suddenly when others have said that it slowly got worse over many 1000's of miles. In my case, the gearbox was fine when we got off the channel tunnel, and by the time we were climbing mountain passes in the Alps it was juddering badly.
I had (unbeknown to me at the time) a failing egr valve. The car would break down two days later. The car had seemed down on power, and was thirsty. I had locked the gearbox in 6th all the way across France to stop it hunting up and down between 5th and 6th when cruising. Maybe this had something to do with it? Possibly the practice of locking top gear on the motorway overheats the oil?
Anyhow, egr replaced, gearbox flushed, and she is absolutely perfect again. We have just returned from a caravan trip to the lakes, no gearbox or power issues at all. In fact I managed to get 21mpg towing the caravan - a first for me 8)

had mine double flushed by dealer at £85K (i think) after juddering appeared when towing, and then did it myself at around 115K - there was a defintive improvement in smoothness on both occasions.Duncan
