If a buyer wants to pay by bank draft this si the way to do it.
Ask the buyer to arrange to have the draft issued at a branch of his bank local to you.
You both go this bank and you witness your buyer getting the draft which he then gives to you. You know it's genuine because you've seen it issued.

The problem with debit cards is you are paying with your money, with a credit card it is the card company's money.
If you have a dispute they will not care much about your money to get it back. With a credit card you lodge a dispute and don't pay that transaction amount.
If you tell the bank you are going to the far east they will try to sell you on the debit card. Getting there is half the fun
