Hi guys, hoping someone may be able to explain/ point me in the right direction to find info on Egr's. My car has recently started with the dreaded drop in power and revs seeming to stick at approx 1500 until suddenly accelerating ( v nearly had a corsa as a hood ornament this morning). I have looked up likely causes here and it seems to be EGR's  The problem is I have no idea what they are, what they do, where they are and why, if everyone is just clanking them off, do the manufacturers not just blank them off to start with?? Any info would be appreciated as I want to at least have a sporting chance of detecting if the dealers are trying to feed me a handful of s  !!!! Many thanks J[/code]
