Foam air filters
Here is a picture of the foam air filter we removed from our 110 whilst recently in Morocco. As you can see the filter has done an excellent job of stopping the dust particles.
Here is a picture of the ‘filtered’ air side of the filter please note that the manufactures logo is clearly visible ie not dirty.
Conclusion:- they do workIn the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

precleaner
that filter reminds me of a bulldozer i was running in the summer pushing out very dry topsoil the precleaner ontop of the airfilter would collect a good pint glass full of dust every 3-4 hours they don,t half make your filters last longer we only "tap" filters out once then bin them .keep removing them to clean them results in more contamination. blowing out with compressed air just damages the filter more but then these are big engines sucking big air nearly always in a dirty enviroment
It's good that the filter is doing the job '05 LR3 HSE V8 - Adriatic Blue - Larini Exhaust System - Lamp Guards - Dual battery system - Hidden 12k winch - Rasta Sump Guard
BTW, I had fitted my V8 LR3 with K&N filter last week and I noticed 0.1+MPG, no performance changes noticed.'05 LR3 HSE V8 - Adriatic Blue - Larini Exhaust System - Lamp Guards - Dual battery system - Hidden 12k winch - Rasta Sump Guard
