LRCS finally reply to 2 letters, and offer a 'goodwill gesture' of a monkey for my trouble, presumably as vouchers as can only be spent at the dealer on service or accessories, seems a litle pityful, but better than a smack in the teeth.
Will reserve the right to reject the vehicle if it starts to blow compressors like some have.

Tim over on LRC you mentioned 3rd type of compressor, is the definate? And is the compressor they are using now? Any reported failures of it?
Sorry for all the questions, but my parents one has failed and gone in for replacement today. They are uptight as they were intending this to be a car they kept long term and have now got the jitters. DS3 TDV6 HSE

I think Lee's is a dealer problem it is not possible to have so many consistant problems. It may be something causing the problem and not the compressor. Are they saying it is blowing or what Lee.

After the above fails, its not happen again ?? No idea why. No change in driving habits. Its booked in anyway for a look see, 'cuz the external temp guage is telling lies, and the ash ash tray ( which is my pound coin tray ) has stopped popping out when you press it. My car has suffered suspension faults today plus the cruise control faults and now getting worse by the minute. I am sure all of mine is software.

| My Disco air suspension problems |
|
Hi
I am new to this board and bought my Disco in January this year. It was an ex demonstrator model with around 1400 miles on the clock.
In late may early june problems started!
It began with a yellow warning lamp saying "Suspension fault". After a few days of this warning happening intermittently, the light no longer came on BUT a new message appeared saying "Suspension will rise when system has cooled". Whereas when only the light was on no handling effects took place, at this point the handling was AWFUL.
The disco was going in for checks on some horrible squeeking noises at low speeds and so the dealer said they would fix the suspension. No sooner had they gotten the Disco onto the ramps that the suspension collapsed and the disco was on his bump stops.
A new compressor was called for - there was a delay, but a week later they had replaced it.
All seemed fine until about a month ago when I was on holiday with my two sons, our large Bernese Mountain Dog and our trailer tent. I only mention the entourage as I was disappointed by Landrover's customer care! They did not want to get me a like for like replacement. Didnt even want to take my car in despite the previous history.
The Landrover assist guy came out and downloaded the log - clearing it down at the same time but making notes about the codes. He suggested I carry on driving the Disco and that sometimes the links between suspension, steering and braking systems could set off some type of chain reaction generating wrong error messages.
His thought was that by clearing the log down he might get rid of the problem alltogether.
It was NOT the case. Over the next week or two the message appeared more regularly and the Disco went back into the dealership.
They held on to the car for two weeks and I was issued with a replacement only for the last 3 days of that period
They were unable to "recreate" the problem even once in two weeks!
So they determined it was better for me to have the car back until the problem reoccured.
I had had the car back two days when the light came on again two or three times in quick sucession. Since then - over this weekend alone - the bloody light has been on 18 times! 3 or 4 of those times the car was stationary at lights or in traffic.
Right now - I am fed up with what had been the best car I have ever had. I am seriously contemplating asking for my money back and going to Nissan!

First of all Mark, welcome to DISCO3
I'm sure others will have more ideas, but have you considered rejecting your Disco as they've not been able to fix it?
