EGRs again
Hello to everyone, gutted my first post is about a problem, oh well fingers crossed
my disco 3 just about got home the other day, the aa cam out and read the fault codes and said its probably the egr valves according to the diagnostic tool...so now the dilemma of getting to a garage and having them changed or blanking them off.
unfortunately the mot just ran out too, so i cant even limp to a garage.
Does anyone know someone who could visit blank and re map the egr valves, or suggest any local garages?
I`m in the bishops stortford/stansted area.
i have a vogue tdv8 as well so i might even try to get the egr valves balnked as well
thanks in advance everyone

You can just blank them and drive it, but light might come on.
Think engine light = mot fail?
Bet if you google code reader/tuning, and your home town there will be a few hits.

thanks for the reply
from the other forums threads it looks like it HAS to have a remap.
im reluctant to take it to MY local garage as my good local garage is where id try and have mot done, not a good idea I reckon
ideally id like someone like bodsy to come and do it, especially as id have the megaflush at the same time.

Yes you wont have an EML to worry about on a 05 model as its EU3 protocol. The 07 is another matter as it will be subject to EU4 and so will need a software patch from BAS and the EGR's blanked to sort it.yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

Broadfields nr Dunmow is a good independent. Not sure whether he would blank them. But really good for service and maintenance.Today is the oldest you've been and the youngest you'll ever be again.
