Another EPB question... Help me please before I cry...

Thanks in advance

I've successfully replaced the EPB shoes, discs and pads on the driver's side of the car yet at the passenger side I cannot get the disc back on. It appears that the new shoes are too tight suggesting that the EPB is still engaged.

How do I release the EPB or put it into service mode without first being able to put the disc and caliper back on?

I have a iiD tool but cannot find 'service mode' on there. I pulled the emergency release cable ages ago following it being jammed, which is why I'm now replacing everything

I am a little stuck and out of ideas!

Please save me....

Afternoon, if you haven’t actually re latched the module you won’t get anywhere. There is a post on how to physically do this, I warn you it is not easy. I think it’s in the wiki. If not search under Disco Mikey he created the post. I personally ended up replacing the module and cables because I couldn’t re latch it in situ and then realised one of the cables was frayed. Good luck.

Update...

After playing further with the IID tool I found there is an option to put the EPB in 'mounted' mode. This drew back the brake shoes and the disc slipped on perfectly. Result.

Both sides now replaced with new everything, just need to bed in the EPB in the usual fashion.

I'm hoping that because the shoes moved I can assume that the module itself is working fine. I.e. that it doesn't need relatching?
