A few years ago my daughter and HWMBO parked in a multi storey car park, when they returned two cars one a mini had parked either side, daughter who was diving said to HWMBO, " why is this Mini reversing out when ever I reverse?", after three attempts to reverse and each time the Mini "reversed" with her she realised the bull bar was attached to the Minis rear bumper Shocked
 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

I never seem to have any bother when I park up....
Maybe that's because my car is always covered in huge lumps of mud and I deliberately park like I am in a hurry, ie all over the white line, skewed in the bay, wheels on full lock etc.
It scares off all but the most hard-core dipsticks as they think you will hit them on your rush to get away!

I am pleased to see its not just me with this problem.

Had my D3 since December. It was immaculate. Every time I come to it now, I notice new door dings or scratches where people have opened their door onto it or squeezed down the side. Its really starting to Censored me off.

As always I try to make sure I am not parked close to other vehicles, and most of the time use the Parent and child spaces. (obviously with child in tow)

I have never had this issue with other vehicles. is there something to be said for D3 paint being thinner or less tough/hard?

Meguiars to the rescue for the most part and then i suppose a call to chips away for anything deeper.

I once made the mistake of parking in access height at Tesco as I thought it would be easier to load up the bags on my return.

Returned to car, loaded up and returned to normal height.... Taking with me the front reg plate of the Merc that had parked too close to my front... Fortunately there was no damage to mine Very Happy

A Browning .50, revolving roof-mount, firing at irregular intervals, would be my favourite choice to avoid the kind of situations experienced by other posters. Unfortunately the increased insurance premium for such a modification makes it un-economical, plus .50 ammunition is quite expensive these days. I also suspect that Plod would come up with some local bye-law saying it was unlawful or breaks some H&S rule Rolling Eyes Can't even fart these days without upsetting someone or other. What's this country come to?

I'd call you and inconsiderate (insert something rude) for this.

4x4 drivers get a bad enough press without you showing everybody what an ignorant bunch of Censored s we are.

It's completely unacceptable behaviour in my mind, and almost as bad as the guys banging their doors against yours.

Sorry I must add this edit as I've just amused myself by thinking of all the people who've seen you do this and ripped the Censored out of you to their friends and family because they think you have the parking skills of a Girl. Rolling with laughter

It's a 'she' and she climbed out the back as she only just squeezed in between the van and me. She said it was the last space she could find anywhere close......

She's rather tidy so that's OK then Whistle

door dings

Hi All
I hate inconsiderate twits that bang their doors of your car it makes my blood boil, I was sitting in my car in an Asda car park and this little suzuki swift with male driver and very pregnant woman gets out of the car with no problems but low and behold on the way back she starts Censored around in the passenger side lets the door go and yes youve guessed it the wind takes the door and hammers it of my passenger door.
She dosnt bat an eyelid and carries on Censored about in the passenger side until I politely point out she has just thumped my door, its only a door she says, pregnant lady or not so I reply to her so it dosnt matter that thats going to cost you £50.00 if theres a dent in my door, its only £50.00 to fix it after all Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter, she then goes off on one saying its only a car why am I making a big deal out of it, husband then says to me its her hormones, hormones or not I said to him do you have your insurance details just in case there is damage as I thought I might have trouble getting £50.00 out of them so after I had waited to the morning and inspected the area luckily for them and me it just needed a bit of polish and all was well thanks to my rubbing strips it didnt do any lasting damage

thanks
