I like to keep the disco as best as possible it's 6 years old covered 107k cleaned and polished every 4 months. Then 2 days ago someone decided to "EGG" the rear tail gate which eats into the paint and leaves a real expencive mess.... Wan

At £2.50 a doz you've just got to pity them.
It's the green monster I'm afraid. At least it wasn't building bricks which happened to a mate of mine while on hols in Isle of Wight. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

YEAH, i ALSO DO NOT KNOW. iT'S SICKENING......
On a lesser note, I suffer from the condition that most people do not own cars, they rent it. Henceforth they would not give a toss of opening a door without slamming it into my LR. This happens to such an extent that I can determine how obese or lightweighted the disappeared next parked car had loaded into it. This is measured by the length of the vertical grind into the paintwork. They would open the door and then as the passengers enter or exit, the measure of travel on the suspension is etched into my door panels.
However far away you park from the main entrance, there is then the trolley abandoners. They comfortably race toward - you guessed it- nowhere else except straight into my paint work.
The best however is the recent red markings on my LR. Having a white Prado as well with the same mysterious red markings I came to the conclusion that it must have a been a cricket ball. Forensics aside, only a hard powered projectile with a red colour known for leaving markings, can account for the deep red paint markings.
Absolute mind boggling I tell you....

Fit side steps and park it in Off Road height to elimate many of the door bangers! Shopping trolleys are unavoidable in this context.

I was lucky enough to catch someone in the act! Parked up and a traffic warden was writing a ticket for the neighbouring car.... Then the owner came back playing hell that it was only 3 minutes over. He was fuming and in his rage he opened his door and slammed it into mine He calmed down pretty quick when he realised it was my motor!!
First thing he asked was "is it a company car?" to which my reply "so that would make it alright would it!!??"
He was one of those that categorise cars as just tin boxes! but have to say I like mine being a nice clean polished shiny dent free box!!
Steps now fitted and Off Road height is standard procedure in car parks! Faultmate MSV2 MultiVehicle

Gets you more dents, that's what!
Get it as high as poss if you have side steps, they will hit the steps not the door skins. A common mistake made when trying to come up with a totally foolproof design is to completely underestimate the innate ingenuity of fools.

Off road height and side steps , standard practice in all car parks, now though if your in off road height the pikeys can pince yer dpf/cat ,
Look at yer side steps and you can see little verticle lines of paint where muppets have opened their door and bashed yer side step.
I had a clampit family in a pos big fat lump of a wife in passenger seat pushed her door open so hard it bounced back and hit her , as I was sat in the car at the time I asked if she'd like try again. The abuse I received wuss most enlightening ,

Rule number 1 never park beside an older car than yours always park beside as near new car as you can
Rule number 2 never park beside a van or commercial vehicle, including a Landrover unless it is younger than yours
Rule number 3 never park on a corner or end bay.
Rule number 4 never park next to the trolley store.
Rule number 3 always leave the detachable tow bar on.
The above does not guarantee you will not get an unwanted souvenir but it will certainly reduce the number.
My nearest town only has one supermarket, there are more incidents in the carpark than the rest of the town put together, it's so bad I never leave the vehicle unattended. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Same here ........ I can park in an area where there are no cars for 20 spaces all around me .... yet one will be in the bay next to mine when I come back ..... and parked in such a way that I have to squeeze in to my car.
There has even been an occasion where I was sitting in the car after dropping my wife at the door for a quick shop, I drove to the "nobody around" spaces and was sitting there while this guy parked next to me .... His face was like a confused dog when I wound the window down and asked "why?, why did you park there, so f&^%$ close, when even 3 spaces away would have made more sense?" He did move after I asked him to hahahahaha.
Brainless f@*%£%$£@^^&*((^'s
The most unbelievable incident was returning to our car and watching a family "actually" park their 2 trolleys against my car to (as they explained) stop them rolling away while they loaded their car ..... they actually saw nothing wrong with using my car as a trolley stop.
We allow these people to breed??????
