Air suspension
Ok...... My air suspension on my D3 is being very odd, everything works as should ie goes up and down and all the off road settings all good but it does drop over night which I think is the valve blocks so pretty normal so ill fix but the odd fault is when I open a door the car starts to drop! but soon as I shut the door it stops!! especially when the system is designed to disable the suspension when the doors are open so extra weird!!!
only other problems is one rear upper suspension arm has worn bushes and when looking noticed the drop link to the ARB on the same side has broken so will fix at the weekend.
Any ideas greatly appreciated thank you

Check the reservoir for leaks especially on top where crud can gather and rust its way through. You will need to have codes read anyway to establish the fault involving the door fail safe.yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

Plus 1 ref the air tank
Also wonder because that arb has broke and worn bushes if it’s has allowed the height sensor to go out of range and maybe causing the strange thing when opening the door , might have nothing to do with it , just an idea ????
Will u also replace the upper wishbone urself at the same time
Got mine from advanced , bought Meyle heavy duty ones

As ur changing the upper wishbone ur be in for a treat , good few have changed them and plenty of threads around so if u get stuck please feel free to ask , done mine last month
Main issue is the bolts seizing solid and need cutting , with either a grinder or recip saw
Also best to buy new brake hoses and short brake pipe
If u haven’t got one really need a bush extractor tool to get the top hub bush out
I had tons of help and always good trying to return the help

Hi
Happy it helped and plenty of info here with very helpful members
Indeed it’s the worse part I’ve had to change by a long shot , half the battle is not being able to get decent access and a good socket and scaffold bar on the end of the bolts
When I installed the new bolts I made sure I virtually soaked them in coppaslip
New arms came with bushes already fitted and just changed the hub knuckle joint
I’ve Still got the passenger side to do , will leave that till spring as the bush looks ok for now
Need to have a group wishbone changing weekend
Good luck

Have u noticed the difference of how it drives after replacing the wishbones
