Do auto disco's show the current selected gear?

hi all,

as per title thread, shhould an auto disco (2.7 td6 hse auto) show the gear number in the console display?

Only when in 'manual' mode - move the gear selector to the left and as if by magic, the gear indicator will appear.

only shows it in command shift - if you move it over to "s"port mode, i recall is still only shows "D"

Yes, move the lever to the left, then forward or back to show the gear.
