I must have ladies hands then, as I successfully changed the lights twice in situ whilst waiting for my hoverspeed 'flights'. I'll admit that the driver's side one is a pig, but as Brian points out, I was concerned with having to realign the lights if I took them out. Plus I might have broken a manicured nail on the metal slides....
And is it up or down for UK / Euro ? Is it easy to tell if they are changed - ie a noticeable click ?

No it is not easy to do even with the lights out (not with my manly hand!) there is no click or indication to tell you which way to go or if you have done it! To sum it up it is a C**p

I'll train one of the kids to do it... then I won't get dirty hands, sliced hands from the exposed metal nor a huge electric shock if I touch the wrong bit.
Also I can blame them if it doesn't work and I dazzle the French.

Have you had a look at the light out of the car B4 you changed them in the car? If so did it look like the photo I have posted?
I have tried & I know I have big hands but there is no way I could do it!
May be it's a job for the wife!

| Help I'm in a mess trying to euro my headlights |

I was hoping someone could let me know the Clock or Ant-clock adjust setting for euro lights.
I regularly drive to Spain & am fed up having Spanish camion's blasting me with a squillion watts of above cab lights when I am already on supposed dip.
I have taken the lamps out and attempted to adjust as mentioned but found that the fork like bent metal was not connecting to the base adjuster. So using a long screwdriver I found an easy way to perform the task.
Problem is, being over the age where one remembers what happened 2 minutes ago, I can't remember where I started from.
I've tried the garage door trick, but don't get a 100% result. So I've tried clockwise and anti-clock,even boss-eyed.
please can any member help with a clear instruction.
By the way my lamps have been on / off more times than a naffi persons tee shirt so I can suggest lubricating the tabs helps a lot.

Tab looks a pain to use for us people with real sized hands. But spare a thought for those of us who don't have zenons... do we still have to use stickyback plastic...

Back to my tip on washer 11 ... I've not looked, but could you "attach" the leaver to some string etc so that these with big hands can make the change ...
Ever see that Mr Bean episode where he drives the mini while sitting on a chair, on the roof .....

As far as I can determine there is only one way to change the direction and that is to remove the lamp units.
As previosly mentioned, in my own case, the adjusterforks did not fully engage with the slider which is far down where the reflector meets the lens.
My mention of lubricating the tabs is reference to the slide up tabs that hold in the lamp assy. in place. Sorry for the confusion.
Carry on using the tape, at least the gendarme can see evidence of an attempt to be legal. After all B.S.B.B.

I had a go last night at changing the lever in my Xenons as i was getting flashed constantly by UK drivers, didn't seem to make any difference at all  Also, there is only a lever in the drivers side lamp on my car and nothing in the passenger unit. The Xenons came off a LHD car apparantly but I thought with the adjuster levers it wouldn't matter, anyone know if this is correct??

Should be a lever in each unit, it's easier to do with the lights out as sometimes the fork on the end of the lever can miss the pin on the lamp unit
If you've got the xenons, get used to being flashed  I usually give them a blast of 'daylight' back
