Hmmm sounds interesting,
Depending on when in May.......
I think Eastnor would be the most fitting venue.

Sounds brilliant - never been on DISCO3 outing - shall give the family a few years warning this time!
We would be travelling from Edinburgh though, and would have lots of family with us - so do we need to drive or would we be excused the Land Rover jaunt to get a train or plane? DISCO3's Student Correspondent...

If a date and location is known long enough in advance, I would be interested in joining too. It would be nice to be part of a DISCO3 outing at last... And visiting Eastnor would definitely be nice! 2006 Zermatt Silver TDV6 'SE' Auto, Mantec sump guard, Frontrunner roofrack, Lightforce 140s, split charge system and... a Jetboil.

G'Day All,
Anybody know the actual date of Land Rovers Birthday? I've guessed at 30th April (1948) when the first 80" went on show at The Amsterdam Motor Show.
Cheers,
David. We'd like to know a little bit about You for our files,

Red Disco, a quick Google search reveals a very interesting article about the Wilks brothers design and development of 25 pilot-build Land Rovers for testing and assessment. After this the Land Rover debuted at the Amsterdam Motor Show on April 30, 1948. So the first vehicles were developed before that date but the first public showing is most likely to have been in Amsterdam.

Hi Andrew,
I have pretty good relationship with the people at Eastnor (David Sneath et al), and I am up there mid April for more driver training.
I am happy to put the idea across, see how they feel about it, as no doubt they will be doing there 'own thing' to celebrate.
I shall email them and see what they say.
BTW, any ideas what happened to the 'ugly cup'?
