Hi,
OK, I have been speaking to Jo the Events Co-Ordinator at Eastnor and I will be meeting with her in a couple of weeks to discuss this further.
In the meantime I need to provide her with what sort of requirements we will have and approx. dates.
This will need to include accomodation requirements, facilities, use of LRE tracks (if possible).
Bank holidays etc are going to busy, and might conflict with other events/shows that Eastnor may host, especially with it being a birthday year.
I will suggest the that we would like a dedicated camping are in the deer park, and ideally the use of some tracks for off-roading. However if we do wish to use the LRE tracks, they will probably need to be marshalled by the instructors, and this will be at a cost.

Neo, since you've taken this onboard, would suggest that it is YOU who stipulates exactly what is required.
Then put it to Poll as to - costs/date/who is coming/ vanning/hotels/4x4ing etc.
Making the bookings once all is known [to limited numbers if needed].
Well done in moving this on.
Me - I'm a van pitch [beside beer tent] anytime, with a 4X4 ride in a members machine!

OK,
I had a chat with Jo Wilson at LRE Eastnor on Monday.
They are doing a Birthday event, the planning for which has started, it is in the early meeting stages and I am not sure if this will be run as global thing or not.
So, during the course of the dicussion I asked if we could have use of the deer park for C&C and possibly use of some of the tracks for 'drive your own' like the LRW show. I asked that we might be able to have our own allocated area in deer park for C&C and provide facilities like tiolets and showers etc.
In addition Jo asked if 'we' (disco3.co.uk) would like to be represented as part of the LR celebrations. and how this would be managed etc.
Both the above will be taken away and discussed, I thought it best not to rule anything out at this stage and see what comes back from LR Event & LRE.
LR can take there time about getting things sorted out, and things can always be subject to change, but we have a 'foot in the door'.
As and whe I get anything back from Jo/LR I will let you know.
I did not get a chance to chat with David Sneath on the matter, I shall at somepoint catch up with him and see how he thinks it will go.

Is that the same as the ALRC National 2008 Danny? http://www.mroc-national2008.co.uk/
Some friends are going to that from the states & I just might be going with them That'd be fantastic to meet up with the disco3 wild bunch there! I'm not so good at giving advice...may I offer you a sarcastic comment instead?

Danny [aka neo]
Well done in your efforts so far.
Great representation on behalf of Disco3 .co.uk [in my opinion - hope others feel the same]
Please keep us posted. Blessed are the cracked, for they shall let in the light.

Hi Sideview,
WRT ALRC, no this would be a seperate event.
LR are running a series of events globally to celebrate 60 years of LR, we have had the 4 millionth car roll out of solihull this week btw.
I am not sure what these events will be but something will be done at the ALRC event in anycase, as it is quite a big deal in the calendar.
Not sure if any of the other Disco3 guys will be at the ALRC show, unfortunately I doubt I will be able to make it.
We will also have the Eastnor show (Land Rover World??) in the second week of June. So I would expect that Eastnor will be very busy in 2008.
I shall check in with Jo later this month, see what is happening and hopefully have another meeting with LRE people at the Eastnor show.
Cheers ronp.
We shall see what happens, LR need to get past the 'initial meetings' phase and get the planning phase.....
