Not unless you run your SatNav in Range Rover (RR) mode - have a search there's loads of posts about it, a good one to start with is the one that refers to the "RR Mode with brightness fix". Tried it myself & ended up going back to the normal mode as I've got the later D4 Bluetooth module & it makes the combination less stable.
You're better off getting a GVIF module from site sponsor HIDS4U - it's a much more reliable way to do it & you can hook up up to three other AV sources in addition to the reverse camera. I've now got reverse camera, iPhone & hard drive video player connected & still got a spare input for a second camera that I looking to fit somewhere.

Hi all, I am interested in fitting a camera to my D3 and I have Sat-nav. So will the display automatically switch when I engage reverse?
Only if you do the Range Rover software mod which requires you to take out the sat-nav and disconnect a wire.
If you don't want to or wish to connect more than one camera, you should install a gvif unit. Search for it on this site and you will find many topics including DiscoBizz' install manual.

Tufty, don't suppose you can remember which eBay seller you got the camera from?. I.ve just got one in part of a kit and its too big to fit it where you've placed your camera.Discovery 4 HSE Luxury Santorini MY12

One thing I noted was in the write up it is suggested power is taken from the reverselight supply cable behind the passenger side light. I noted that the reverse supply is also routed to the plug for the towing electrics on the inside of the car (in the passenger side cubby hole) therefore there is no need to take the cables out of the body? I just pushed a bared cable down the side of the reverse supply wire contact in the plug and secured it to the cable with cable ties.
Plug removed from it's mounting (normally sits behind the other one in the top left) blue cable already attached
Tufty, which is the reverse supply wire contact in the plug?, have you got a pin diagram?Discovery 4 HSE Luxury Santorini MY12

If that's the near side cubby in the boot, you want green with brown stripe.
Remove the near side light unit and look which loom passes into the cubby from the light cluster. Follow it into the cubby and slice the casing revealing the cluster of cables. It's one of those, you'll find it.Mods:
