I have been on the Frog Island site and looked for the Front runner roof rack. All I can find are accessories, where can I find a roof rack and the required fittings for my D3?
I looked at the roof boxes but think the fact they are a box means that they limit the shape of what can be put on top. I want something I can put luggage like suit cases one day and spare wheels the next. I looked at the Expedition rack from LR and found the weight limit to be only 54.3kg. When you consider the potential usage and the roof limit of 150kg this seems a bit mean. I have seen that some of you have the Frontrunner, where did you get it from and what is it's loading limit?
Oh yeah, and how much would be good so that I can prepare the Fishing Permission Officer.
I await your replies with baited breath. Will I get my rod in?

We had a group by from Front Runner direct with the kind help from Baben.
Or try APB Trading they have a variety of racks with side rails. In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

I had a FR roof rack from Frogs Island. Just noticed this weekend that where the rails have been fitted the glass roof has cracked.
I,ve not had chance to raise this with them yet but will be doing so.
APB fitted my lights and made a great job. I would recommend APB. They also offer Hannibal and Big Country roof racks. The Big Country's rails run the length of the car rather than across the car so it may be quieter at speed. Duncan

Hi Slimer,
not sure. The rails sit on rubber rails which then are fixed to the roof. Duncan

There should be spacers underneath the 3 fixing points for each rail that prevent them from being tightened down too far and cracking the roof. You must be this high intelligent to play in here...

Does the Frontrunner fit onto the standard LR Disco3 Rails (which I need to acquire for my lowly S) Steve N | 2008 TDV6 SE Auto | Was 2006 TDV6 S Auto | Club 10K | Am I Online?

Yes it does but the FR rails are stronger than the LR ones so if you're going to buy a FR rack you might as well get the FR rails too rather than getting the LR ones which cost about the same anyway You must be this high intelligent to play in here...
