Robbo many thanks for the write up, I don't think I would of attempted this with out seeing some pictures first
Breaker bar, long extension and bendy thing essential,
Irwin nut removers I would also say essential too if they are the original nuts on the turbo flange.
I was able to reuse the nuts as I didn't bother trying without the Irwin and the nuts came off unscathed.
Getting pipe into rear section was a pain but a flat pry bar lined the two ends up and a tap with a hammer made it pop in.
Test drive...
Oh my days...
Low rev range is improved drastically, so standing start is hugely improved.
The growl is a certain permagrin, and can hear the turbo much more now, which I do like.
The smell isn't a problem, just a bit fruity.
And mr scrapman must of know I was finished as he has just taken the old one away along with my old lower suspension arms
All in all a good day and 3hrs taking ya time and trying to find a missing wrench
(Turned in in my 'large tools' box )
There is a bit more of a growl, but not that obvious - can't say I can smell anything extra. Perhaps cos my engine and turbo is only 10k old?Mark.

Fitted the de-cat tonight and contrary to popular belief that it wont fit a 2007 vin no 7A !! it was a perfect fit
Found it a lot easier to drop the whole exhaust to get old cat pipe out and those exhaust nuts were tight , managed to shear the head of my torque wrench
Sorry disco-mikey unfortunately the pipe fitted Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, where,s the f**king ceiling!!
