Got my replacement pipe from Andrew, which fits great
Now my new issue is that when removing the old pipe, the top turbo stud wound itself out with the nut still on it, which I can't get off. Anyone know the part number for the stud or indeed the thread pitch? I've tried winding it back in but i don't want to cross thread it!

Not sure about the thread or even the size - though the bolt is M10.
The stud looks to be part number LYR500010 - but I can find details of threads etc. Mark.

Get plenty of WD 40 on it. Turbo one was the worst on mine. With a few Mods.

Well job aborted before I really started, the inboard 15 mm nut is no longer 15 mm. So I will need to get nuts and studs before I start. Looks like its going to be a nightmare of a job, and needs a rethink.
Hi what size Irwin bolt extractors should I buy, for this job.

I bought a set from machine mart http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/...n+nut+grip
The 16mm one fits a treat, got the outer and inner nuts free fairly easily woo hoo we're cooking on gas now Stevie boy
But the top (upper) is nigh on impossible to get at, I used a couple of long extensions and a universal drive coupling thingie . . But I just can't get the angle right with the exhaust, prop shaft and gearbox all very much in the way for it to turn whatsoever
I'm confident it will loosen without any nasty stud shear risk as the first two although tight freed ok
what a little to get at, so for now I've given up
So my nice shiney new de-cat pipe is still laying on the garage floor
So . . . Those of you that have successfully done this, pray what is the secret to undoing the top nut Never get mad - get even !!

That's nothing !
Wait till you've done all that and find out once its all off the bore at the end of the cat is the same as the bit that you're attaching it to !

WHAT
Chalky, have you got a 'standard' exhaust then
So even if I had managed by some miricle to get the top turbo nut undone the new Allisport de-cat still won't fit Never get mad - get even !!

It might fit mate or it might not ?
Mine didn't but the only luck I get is bad luck !
It appears that everyone else's has fitted !
I do think that it has had something to do with mine being a 57 Plate Euro 4 engined D3
I know something was mentioned at the time of me purchasing altho I do know others have fitted theirs to 57 and later and mines on the cross over, the fortunate thing for me is that I didn't fit the pipe, it was fitted at Green Oval and they overcame the obstacle by welding some stuff together ?
Best bet is to get some vernier calipers and do some jiggling and measuring ? Only dead fish go with the Flow !

I should be ok then, mine is a 2006 EU3 engine
Still can't get to the top nut on the turbo, I've tried every combination of extensions, uj joints etc that's in my super duper socket set and still nothing touches it Never get mad - get even !!
