This does look like a great solution but can't help thinking we need to be a bit more clandestine about this Wink .
As a public forum it won't be long before this kind of modification will be obvious to mot testers and negate all your hard work Neutral

Having fitted my allisport de-cat pipe, and been very pleased with the benefits, I had thought of maybe opening up my old cat pipe and doing some surgery to remove the offending innards, then welding the outer back up, so outwardly it would be a genuine CAT down pipe Wink

Would this be a viable solution to avoid any MOT issues Whistle Whistle

Or should I go with the solution Rob has posted Whistle

06 D3 now gone to family member and still going strong at 265k

hey guys,

do you have any good advices how to remove the three bolts
at the turbo, even if they are massively corroded?

I mean, without lifting the body... Rolling Eyes

I do have access to a lifting ramp, but at my first try to loose those
bolts I was afraid to snap them.
and, of course, no spanners or wrenches did fit correctly because of
the corrosion of the nuts….

would be thankfull for any hint.

Suppose its an option but if you can get old nuts off with the Irwins and fit new ones seems like a lot less bother as access isn't great but its your choice Thumbs Up
