front recovery point cover

Guys, the quarter turn clips holding my front tow cover on are seized, the heads break off when trying to undo them... Assuming they do turn anti-cw... But knowing LR, you never know! Laughing

Does anyone know the part numbers for the clips, and any suggestions as to how to remove the rest of the clip once I've snapped them all off?

Thanks

I noticed that my cover was falling off, so i took a closer look and most had of the clips had snapped.

I just pushed the broken bit up into the hole and ordered some new ones from the large one.

I've got a handful of the fasteners that I keep in one of the rear cubbyholes, I seem to buy a handful every year.

The same fasteners are used for the towing eye cover. I'm a scuba diver, and I keep the key in the towing eye area when I'm away from the car. They are cheap plastic and break after use.

That being said, the ones I just picked up seem to be a higher grade of material, they seem stiffer, but that just might mean they are more brittle, and will snap, rather than flex...

They were only about $1 each..

Is it wise to tell that to the world . . ?
A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. It does reduce the likelyhood of you dying when really, really ill. Stay Alive - KEEP AWAY FROM PEOPLE.

I don't mind the world knowing, there are very few of these vehicles in my area though. I'm sure no one in this area even reads this forum. I used to just keep a key with me, with the transponder key locked inside my old car. Can't do that with the Land Rover unfortunately
